- My first performance was so amazing! There were so many people there it was awesome!! I performed eight songs and I really had the crowd going! It was so fun everyone clapped to my songs and sang along when they knew the words. My performance was about forty minutes long including talking and singing. After the performance we sold twenty-eight CDs at the PCD booth and with the help of all of the other donations and other PCD families we made over $3000!! The song below was "Finish Line" one of the 8 original song I sang.
Another song people really like was "No Shame." I think a lot of people related. It's a song about just being who you are and accepting all parts of yourself. I even had some teary eyes out there! My dad recorded the whole thing on the go Pro and unfortunately the sound quality is really bad. This one was on an iphone. Hopefully I will be able to post more on my youtube channel.
It was so cool seeing all the people that came out to support me and PCD research and awareness. It's not to late to donate on the PCD website! The Riverwoods invited us back again next year to have our booth and my concert. There were two local news stations which came as well. The coverage was about a little boy who has PCD and his family, they are quite famous in Utah. But we are just so grateful that people in the our very small local PCD are doing such an awesome job of raising awareness. The news stories should run tonight on Channel 4 ABC and Channel 5 KSL in Utah at 4 and maybe 10 pm. I loved greeting all the amazing people after too. And soooo many generous donations!
After the performance we stayed at the booth and helped pass out fliers to people. But actually one of the most amazing things was actually meeting other people with PCD!! Besides my little brother and sister I've never met anyone. I met the nicest girl London, who was so pretty and nice. A couple cute little babies, and this really beautiful mom who was in her late 30's. It was so amazing to talk to people who understood and to share stories. We've all decided to keep in touch. I also played my guitar a bit at the booth and had some TV footage shot then. It was incredible!! Thank you Thank you!!!!
